Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership

UK-GBC STEP Partner for Sustainability Leadership in the Built Environment Programme

CPSL

The University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership (CPSL) is internationally recognised in building the capacity of leaders and other decision makers to respond to contemporary societal challenges. The role of CPSL within the University of Cambridge is to bring leading-edge thinking and practice in sustainability issues to business, industry, government and civil society organisations. It draws on the intellectual resource of Cambridge’s research, on other leading academics, and on the experience of business practitioners and policy makers to deliver a range of sustainability leadership programmes in Cambridge and in other locations around the world.

CPSL provides ground-breaking leadership development programmes covering a range of sustainability issues such as Climate, Emerging Economies, Cities, and Eco-system Services.  CPSL has also developed and run the prestigious Prince of Wales’s Business & the Environment Programme for the past 15 years, which focuses on the opportunities and challenges of sustainable development. CPSL aims to support programme alumni in furthering their sustainability work back in their organisation, through the provision of ongoing learning opportunities and engagement via the Cambridge Sustainability Network which now includes over 3000 senior executives worldwide.

In more recent years CPSL’s activities have expanded to include policy and strategy groups for leaders aspiring to drive system change at national and international levels (e.g. The Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group on Climate Change, ClimateWise, P8 Pensions Initiative).
